Christmas Songs Theme Pack No 1 includes the following Five Audio Single Song Packs:-
Away In A Manger: a perfect song for acting out the Nativity Scene. Children can play the roles of Mary, Joseph, cows, sheep and shepherds and even angels. ( Wikipedia)
Deck The Halls: an uplifting, joyous Christmas Carol. The melody is mainly based on steps, up and down the scale, so it is ideal for children to learn and to sing in tune.
Go Tell It On The Mountain: this song is considered to be a Christmas Carol, as it’s original lyrics celebrate the Nativity of Jesus. This African – American song is a traditional Gospel song and is a great song for teaching and reinforcing the 4/4 beat with it’s accent on the first and third beats.
I Saw Three Ships: with it’s strong 6/8 metre beat, it’s a perfect song for teaching and reinforcing the beat to young children. Parents can help kinesthetic learning, by bouncing their young children on knees, or holding and rocking them to the beat.
Jingle Bells: probably the most well known Christmas Carol. It has wonderful rhythmical patterns and a very sprightly beat. I have used the pattern ” ti – ti ta” in the instrumentation of the Chorus, using a “jingle bell” sound for this ostinato, or repeated pattern.

Once In Royal David’s City: there are two phrases using the solfege, d m s, going up in “jumps” of 2 notes of the scale, at a time. These are good phrases to hone children’s in – tune singing skills. (Wikipedia)
Silent Night: is written in a slow 3/4 waltz time and introduces children to singing softly (piano) and sensitively. ( Wikipedia )
Up On The Housetop: the range of notes in this song is quite limited, compared to other Christmas songs, being C D E F G A, so this makes it ideal for young singers. (Wikipedia )
We Wish You A Merry Christmas: here we have a different, strong, 3/4 waltz beat. The rhythms used throughout the whole song are simple, using only crotchets, quavers and minims.
