About the creator - Monica Judd
Monica is a trained, registered and experienced Primary School Music teacher with a Bachelor of Education.
Where it all began
Monica has worked as a Primary School teacher since 1984 in Queensland State Schools, as well as a year in London. She completed a Department of Education music in-service course which enabled her to teach classroom Music in Primary Schools. She has been a Specialist Music teacher in Queensland State Schools for over 25 years. Monica studied piano, voice, speech and drama and ballet from a young age and was singing on stage and television from the age of nine. She has sung professionally as a soloist, in a duo, and as a band member doing lead and harmony. She has done recording work as a backing vocalist and has also sung for TV advertisements. She plays piano and is currently learning blues and jazz styles. She is also a songwriter and has written many of her own children's songs for her popular themed children's Music Workshops. She was a regular Presenter for Brisbane City Council Libraries from 2015 - 2020. Currently, she is the vocalist in her own jazz trio called the " Monica Judd Jazz Trio" and performs regularly in Brisbane.
