Six Little Ducks is a favourite traditional children’s song. It’s origin is unknown, but possibly is Maryland, USA. (Source: Music Notes Inc. )

It tells the story of one little duck with a feather on her back, who leads the other five ducks. The melody and lyrics are enchanting.

This is one of my favourite children’s songs! I have tried to add the comical nature of ducks walking into the instrumental arrangement. I hope you like it!

Beat activities to the 4/4 time signature can be carried out with simple actions.

Melodically, the range of the song is perfect for young children (d – l).

Teaching Points: d r m f s l; beat; downbeat; accent.
